Ok, so the time has come...it's really happening. Thursday April 14th I will be having LapBand surgery! I am so excited! It's really like the first day of a new life. When I think of all the things I will be able to do after losing the weight...things that I've always wanted to do! Not to mention all the things that I won't have to do. Here's a small list...
Things I will be able to do:
run...yes, I can't remember the last time I ran and didn't have to worry about having a heart attack or my knees popping out of socket.
touch my toes...no judging here. I am very flexible for my size but I just can't lean over and touch my toes...there happens to be a big belly in my way!
shop in any store I want. I don't want to be skinny. My goal is a size 10...not fat but not skinny, a nice trim size. I want to go down to the plaza and not feel out of place while shopping.
feel full. I don't eat a whole huge ton anymore. But I never really feel satisfied either. If I ate as much as I really wanted to...let's just say I would give any grown man a run for his money!!!
Things I won't have to do:
Worry about fitting in a booth at a restaurant.
check out sizes of airplane seats.
shop strictly in "plus" stores.
constantly worry how I look sitting down. Trust me, if you wear a size 26 like I do, you constantly wonder how much like Jabba the Hut you look like.
I am a beautiful, independent, confident woman. I had amazing parents who raised me to know that I was beautiful. But now maybe people will focus a little less on the fat and a little more on my face ;)
I am so excited to start this journey. I know it won't all be great, I will have hard times ahead and alot of adjustment...but, THIS IS SO EXCITING!!!
More updates ahead!!!

I'm never all that full with my band... but it does make it easier to eat less. Which is good
